Rotten Tomatoes banned comments for The Dark Knight Rises for a few days. Not too surprised, seeing as every line-up of user comments on an RT review is a huge mess of arguments, childishness and pure stupidity. And thank goodness I stepped out of this crowd.
Guess it’s a good time I posted this, isn’t it?
Full reviews are embargoed until July 19 (the day before it opens), but Metro has some social media reactions from a select group of critics who saw a screening of The Dark Knight Rises yesterday. The gist:
The Dark Knight Rises received a standing ovation from US critics at a preview screening with some journalists raving that it left them in tears and ‘speechless’.
Rises, indeed.
Not being allowed to post reviews of a film like this until then is absolutely frickin’ ridiculous. I mean, it isn’t getting reviews as bad as Green Lantern, so why not set an earlier date so that we don’t get too disappointed? Or even so that it gets over 200 Fresh reviews counted easily enough?
